Imphal-DVNA. Manipur police arrested a person for spreading rumors about the corona vaccination process. Chief Minister N. Biren has appealed to all people to refrain from airing unverified posts on social media as this may create confusion among the general public.
Uchiva Lirak Achaiba resident Haobam Tikendrajit posted a video clip on social media with the message that the vaccine was not being injected during the corona vaccination. After this video went viral, many people accused the medical staff of manipulation and wrongdoing and even threatened them.
He said that the video had such an impact on people that their confidence in the vaccination was lost and relatively few people reached the vaccination centers today. He said that this has seriously harmed the efforts of the government in containing the Covid-19 pandemic. A case was registered in this regard at Mayang Imphal police station and a team from the police station arrested the accused today. A mobile phone has been seized from him.
