Ara-DVAA. Four people were killed and six others were injured in a collision between a pickup van and a truck in the Charpokhari police station area of Bhojpur district in Bihar this morning.
According to the information received from the police, some people from Narayanpur village had gone to Itaur village in Charpokhari police station area to join the procession last night. After joining the wedding, the band party members were returning home from the pickup van this morning. Meanwhile, on the Ara-Sasaram state highway, near the Mahavirganj-Deodhi turn, the pickup van collided in a pre-parked Bhusa-laden truck from behind. Four people died and six others were injured in the accident.
All the injured were brought to Charpokhari Primary Health Center, where after first aid they have been sent to Ara Sadar Hospital for better treatment. The deceased include Pooja Ram (40), Mohammad Kamalu (30), resident of Pawna, Tengari Ram (55) of Bankat and Moti Ram (50), resident of Paharpur in Gadhni police station area. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
