Filmmaker Rajat Kapoor’s upcoming film RK/Reke starring Mallika Sherawat and Kubra Sait is all set to release on July 22.
The film tells the story of a worried director (RK), who has wrapped up the shooting of his new film, but things are not looking very bright on the edit table. He has an impending sense of doom.
As luck would have it, his worst nightmare comes true when he receives a disturbing call from the editing room saying that the film’s protagonist jumped off the screen, taking control of the film’s plot.
The comedy film has already been screened and appreciated at several international festivals including Shanghai International Film Festival, River to River Festival in Florence, Buccion International Fantastic Film Festival, Austin Film Festival and Pune International Film Festival.
Talking about the film, Rajat said, RK/REK is an idea that was with me for almost 10 years. Gradually it evolved to find its present form. It’s a crazy movie and I mean it’s crazy in the best possible sense. It’s unconventional, it’s wacky and fun, and it has a distinct flavor. Can’t wait to share it with our viewers.
Produced by Priyanshi Films, the film stars Mallika Sherawat, Kubra Sait, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachur Rai, Abhijit Deshpande, Abhishek Sharma, Grace Girdhar and Vaishali Malhara in lead roles. The film has been written by Rajat Kapoor.
